Avoid these common mistakes to get better results faster.

Mistake 1: Describing the product

The most common mistake. Nova already knows what your product looks like through the DPI. Describing it in the prompt can confuse the AI and produce worse results.

Don't: "A green leather backpack with black buckles in a forest"

Do: "In a misty forest, soft morning light, 50mm lens"

Mistake 2: Being too vague

Generic prompts produce generic results. Be specific about at least the setting and lighting.

Don't: "Nice background"

Do: "In a modern loft with exposed brick walls, golden hour light streaming through large windows"

Mistake 3: Contradictory instructions

Mixing conflicting elements confuses the AI.

Don't: "Dark moody atmosphere, bright sunlight, indoor studio, outdoor garden"

Do: Pick one direction and commit to it.

Mistake 4: Overloading the prompt

Trying to include every detail in one prompt. Keep it focused on 2–3 key elements.

Don't: "In a Scandinavian living room with white walls, oak floor, a green plant in the corner, a Persian rug, morning light through sheer curtains, a cat sleeping on the sofa, books on the coffee table, a candle burning, 35mm lens, eye level, shallow depth of field"
