Tokens are Nova's credit system. Certain actions in the platform cost tokens, while others are included in your platform fee.

Nova's monthly platform fee is based on the total number of active SKUs (3D models) in your account. Nova offers two pricing models: all-in pricing (unlimited usage included in your subscription) and output-based pricing (tokens are tracked and billed monthly based on actual usage). Your account manager can explain which model applies to your organization.

What costs tokens?

Digital Product Identity (DPI) generation — 6 tokens per variant. This is a one-time cost per variant. Once the DPI is created, it doesn't need to be regenerated.

AI lifestyle scene generation — 1 token per image (when the DPI already exists). Generating multiple copies multiplies the cost.

Packshot generation — 1 token per packshot. Each camera angle you generate costs 1 token.

What's included in the platform fee?

3D Viewer & AR — Setting up and using the 3D viewer, including AR mode, is included in your monthly platform fee and does not cost tokens.

Product upload — Uploading 3D models and creating products is free (only the optional DPI generation costs tokens).

Library usage — Browsing, filtering, downloading, and managing your assets is free.

Checking token costs

Before any action that costs tokens, Nova shows the exact cost at the bottom of the screen. For example:

• When creating a product with DPI: "This will use X tokens"
• When generating a scene: "This will use X token(s)"

Always review the token cost before confirming.
