Your first step in Nova: uploading a 3D model and creating a product. Here's how to do it.

Step by step

Step 1: Open the product creation page

Click Upload Product on the dashboard, or use the Create menu in the top navigation.

Step 2: Fill in product information

• Product name — Give your product a clear, recognizable name
• Category — Select the product category (e.g., Furniture, Fashion, Electronics). This helps Nova optimize the output.
• Placement type — Choose how your product is typically placed: Floor, Tabletop, Wall, etc. This affects how packshots and scenes are generated.

Step 3: Generate Digital Product Identity (DPI)

You'll see a toggle: "Generate digital product identity." This creates the resources Nova needs to generate AI-based scenes for your product.

• Turning this on costs 6 tokens per variant
• If you skip it now, Nova will automatically generate the DPI when you create your first scene for this product
• We recommend turning it on during upload so your product is ready for scene generation right away

Step 4: Upload your 3D model

Drag and drop your .glb file into the upload area, or click to select it from your computer.

You can upload multiple variants of the same product (e.g., different colors or materials), as long as they share the same outline/silhouette.

Step 5: Create the product

Review the token cost shown at the bottom of the page, then click Create Product. Nova will process your model and generate packshots from the default angles.
